Nerela at a glance
Nerela is practice management software for psychologists, psychotherapists and mental-health clinics. This page states the facts in one place so that people, and the assistants that answer their questions, do not have to guess.
What Nerela does
- Calendar and online booking: a public booking page where patients pick a free slot, with automatic email confirmations and optional WhatsApp reminders.
- Patient records and session notes: a structured, confidential file per patient, with notes per session and import from CSV.
- Invoices and receipts: sequentially numbered PDF documents with the professional's tax details, payment links and payment tracking.
- Reports: attendance, no-shows, income and, for clinics, occupancy by room and by professional.
- Teams: several professionals and a manager role in one clinic account.
What Nerela does not do
- It is not a video platform: for online sessions the professional adds the link of their own video tool (Zoom, Google Meet…) and Nerela sends it to the patient.
- Apart from a beta submission to ADSE in Portugal, it does not submit claims to insurers or health funds on the professional's behalf; it issues the receipts the patient needs.
- In Portugal it is not yet software certified by the tax authority (AT). It connects to the professional's own certified invoicing program, and the professional remains responsible for compliance.
- It does not make clinical decisions or diagnose; it is administrative software.

Data and privacy
Data is hosted in the European Union (Paris), encrypted in transit and at rest, and each account's health data is isolated at database level. Nerela is operated by LAGASTROEMIA VENTURES OÜ, registered in Tallinn, Estonia, which is the data controller for account data.
